I needed to get flowers for Mama Lee for Mother's Day. This was the first gift that I was buying for her and I needed it to be beautiful and perfect. I looked on Yelp and found Church Street Flowers to be the highest reviewed. After taking a look at their website, I was sold.
I called them up, told them which arrangement I liked and how much money I wanted to spend and that I would be picking it up 4 days later.
Friday comes and Eugy drives me to the store. While he's circling the block, I run in to pick up the arrangement. Once I saw it, I wanted to scream for joy. It was simply BEAUTIFUL. A low lush arrangement with orchids and tulips and a lot of beautiful flowers that I don't even know the names of. Mama Lee loved it. *pats self on back*
As I'm paying for the flowers, the lady from the store gives me another BEAUTIFUL arrangement wrapped in brown paper. I was a bit confused. At first, I thought they were giving me them as 'service' for placing my order and I thought to myself, "WOW. This store is amazing. I only spent $100 and they are giving me this beautiful arrangement for free?! WOW!" And then the lady says, "those are from Eugene".....
That sneaky devil. He must have called in the order before. Thanks babe. Those were the prettiest flowers that I have ever received in my life. Eugy really redeemed himself. :P
I keep trying to think of another reason to order flowers from here. hah..

Petals A Flower Studio Review
Annette, Alex and their entourage are truly outstanding!!!
They did the flowers for our wedding ceremony and reception for 300 guests. The bridal flowers were beautiful and lasted an entire week after our wedding day. The bridal bouquet was exactly as we envisioned it. Our rose and orchid boutonnieres were perfect yet robust. The centerpieces fit beautifully with our overall theme.
Annette and Alex worked with our venue to coordinate everything. She contacted us via email frequently enough to ensure things were falling in line without overdoing it. They worked within our budget and we still got everything we could have wanted! Annette even stayed during the ceremony to make sure we were completely satisfied with all her flowers before leaving. She is truly dedicated to her work!
We highly recommend Petals for your wedding flower needs!

Divisadero Florists Review
As my girl, Flor, would say, "You gotta support the Mom and Pop joints!"
I really couldn't agree more!
One of my dearest friends was having surgery at UCSF Mt. Zion, and wanted to brighten up her hospital room by ordering flowers. Contemplated using 1-800-FLOWERS or ProFlowers, as I've have previously used them and been happy with the quality (even though a bit pricey). Instead, I decided to consult my beloved Yelp for a local florist closest to hospital. After perusing Divisadero Florists website and previewing the different arrangements, I was able to order online without any problems. The prices were decent, and slightly less expensive than 1-800-FLOWERS and ProFlowers.
I placed the order between 3-4pm, and didn't expect them to arrive that same day. However, the next day around 9:30am, I got a call from my friend thanking me for such a cheery 'get well' flower delivery! Wow, talk about fast delivery service. The yellow roses and gerber daisies looked fresh, and will hopefully last for awhile.
**I'm happy to support a "Mom and Pop and local joint!"**
I'll gladly stop in to check out the storefront (as it's in my 'hood' and pass by it often) and write a review update.
In the meantime, it's good to know that they have an updated website and efficient floral delivery!

Xapno Review
Jean is lovely. She is a local owner and does a superb job providing unique gifts, plants and flowers. Almost monthly she highlights local artists in the back of her shop.
If you really want to give someone an interesting gift - this is the place to go. She is open most days but since she is the owner and only employee she sometimes has to spend time with her lovely daughter.
I like to just browse and often leave with a gorgeous purse or nature trinket. I can't wait for her organic cleaning line to come out. The bath accessories were a welcome mix up to her inventory. Light, fresh and gorgeous - just like Jean.
The lower haight is growing a number of excellent locally owned gift shops and exceptional international food. If you have not been lately - you must sneak down and enjoy the home town neighborhood feel.
Let's not forget Jean is from WI!

Bell & Trunk Flowers Review
I just needed an excuse to go inside while they were open. Every time I've walked by in the past, they are closed in the evenings. Stopped by here because I remembered they had some baby items in the window.
Being the procrastinator I am, I gave myself an hour to shop for a gift before I needed to be at a 1 year old birthday party. I rarely ask for assistance when choosing gifts because I like to look around. The shop was so tiny and everything was lovely, but I didn't want an "ugly doll" or clothes that he would grow out of or need to grow into, so I asked for any learning toy for 1 years old boys. The lady (I didn't get her name, but she was really nice and sweet) recommended the Signing Cards, such a fantastic idea. I may even go back to get some more later on for some other gifts.
I didn't even realize this was a flower shop because I was too mind busy with getting a descent gift. I want to check out the larger shop on Dolores. I have to find it!
